Transport for London’s New Danfo Toilet
The bus drivers and the town centre visitors in Brent now have access to a shiny new Danfo toilet. The Toilet block, a Danfo Tetragon, opened 7 June 2013 outside Sudbury & Harrow Road Station. Until now, there haven’t been any public facilities available in the Town Centre and bus drivers have been forced to use toilets in nearby shops.
The building assists to activate the station frontage with a modern design. With sustainability in mind, the toilet is well insulated to reduce heat loss and solar gain. All electricity and water consumption is controlled automatically or with sensors, including heating, flushing, lighting, hand dryers and hand wash.
The toilet block incorporates two private toilets for use by bus drivers and one accessible toilet for use by the public. The facility will be open at all times and a charge of 10p will apply. The toilet is located in a key area for public transport, with access to Sudbury & Harrow Road on Chiltern line, Sudbury Town on Piccadilly line, and stations and bus routes 245, 18, 92, 182, 204, H17 and 487 on Harrow Road.
