Background and purpose

This Data Protection Policy explains how Danfo gathers and uses your personal data. It also describes your rights in your interaction with Danfo and how to enforce them. You can always contact Danfo regarding any privacy and data protection issues by sending an e-mail to info@danfo.se

To meet Danfo’s obligations to employees, customers and suppliers, Danfo needs to process your personal data in accordance with the following. Danfo does so with the utmost respect for your privacy.

Data Danfo gathers

Data you submit to us
You may submit data to us directly or indirectly. For example:
• Personal and contact data: Name, date of birth, personal identity number, invoice and delivery address, e-mail address, mobile phone number, etc.
• Payment data: invoicing data, bank account number, giro number, etc.

The data you provide, as well as information about goods/services and your financial data are generally necessary to enter into a contractual relationship with Danfo, while other data Danfo gathers is generally needed for other purposes – see below.

What Danfo does with your data

Communication with you
Danfo may use your personal data to communicate relevant information about the services used or similar ones and to perform customer satisfaction surveys regarding Danfo’s services, through electronic communication channels or by telephone, for example. With whom may Danfo share your data?
Danfo may share your data with, or transfer it to, select third parties, as follows. Danfo takes all reasonable legal, technical and organisational measures to ensure that your data is handled securely and with an adequate level of protection when sharing it with, or transferring it to, such select third parties.
Suppliers and sub-suppliers, such as companies within the Danfo Group: Danfo may share your personal data with suppliers or sub-suppliers in performing our contractual obligations to you, and for other purposes as set out in this Data Protection Policy.
Authorities: Danfo may provide required data to authorities including the police, the tax authorities or other authorities if Danfo is required to do so by law, or if you have consented to Danfo doing so. We are, for example, legally required to provide information for measures against money laundering and terrorist financing.
Divestment: Danfo may share your data with third parties. In the event that Danfo divests or acquires operations or assets, Danfo may disclose your personal data to a potential seller or buyer of such operations or assets.
Other external parties: Danfo will not sell your personal data to third parties without your consent.

Where does Danfo process your personal data?
Danfo always strives to process your data within the EU/EEA. In certain situations, however, data may be transferred to, and processed in, non-EU/EEA countries by a company within our Group or by another supplier or sub-supplier. As Danfo is determined to always protect your data, Danfo will take all reasonable legal, technical and organisational measures to ensure that your data is handled securely and with an adequate level of protection, comparable to, and of the same level as, the protection offered in the EU/EEA.

For how long does Danfo store your personal data?
Danfo stores your data only as long as is necessary to perform our contractual obligations towards you and in accordance with statutory storage periods. When Danfo saves your data for purposes other than our contractual obligations, such as meeting anti-money laundering, accounting and regulatory capital requirements, Danfo saves that data only as long as is necessary and/or stipulated in legislation for the relevant purposes.

Your rights of access, correction and deletion
Right of access to your data: You may request a copy (register extract) of the data you would like to know about, and you may verify the data Danfo has regarding you. This copy can be requested free of charge.
Right to correction: You are entitled to correct incorrect or incomplete data about you.
Right to deletion (“the right to be forgotten”): You are entitled to request the deletion of your personal data where that data is no longer necessary for the purpose for which it was gathered. There may, however, be legal obligations preventing Danfo from immediately deleting parts of your data. These obligations derive from accounting and tax legislation, banking and anti-money laundering legislation, as well as from consumer law. In such cases, Danfo blocks the data that Danfo is required to save from being used for purposes other than complying with these legal obligations.
